About us

Road Rescue Network is a technology company operating a nationwide roadside assistance and towing dispatch platform. We run our own infrastructure end to end, no vendor lock-in, no rented SaaS. Two mobile apps sit at the center of the business: one for the technicians and rescuers who take our jobs, and one on the customer side. Those apps are how the work actually gets done.

The role

We need one engineer who owns the mobile apps completely. Not a team, not an agency, one person who knows every line and answers for them. You will be fixing existing bugs across both iOS and Android builds, shipping recent features against a live dispatch backend, and handling every part of the release cycle including App Store and Play Store submission and review.

Job acceptance, real-time status updates, push notifications, location tracking, and photo capture in the field are the core surfaces you will be working in.

This is production software with money moving through it. Jobs dispatch around the clock, so when something breaks at two in the morning it needs someone who picks up.

What you need

Strong React Native experience with apps you have personally shipped to both stores. Firebase. Push notification handling on both platforms. Background location services.



Real-time data over WebSocket or similar. Comfortable with a REST and tRPC backend you did not write. Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console submission experience including getting through review without hand-holding.

You must be able to work independently. You will get requirements and access, not daily supervision.

How we work

You get your own department and dashboard inside our internal platform, your own branch on our Gitea repository, and a dedicated development environment. You will work through our AI-assisted build tooling. Development and testing happen on staging against a staging API production deploys are controlled and scheduled. Access is scoped to what the mobile apps require. No cloud infrastructure access, no exposure to unrelated systems.

Contract to start, with the potential to extend into an ongoing retainer. Remote. We need availability for urgent production issues outside normal hours — that is part of the role, and it is compensated accordingly.
