Job Title: Sr. Engineer / Principal Engineer – MEP Design

Location: Mumbai (Base Location)

Qualification: Graduate or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 8 to 15 Years of experience in MEP Design Projects

Software Skills: Proficiency in software like AutoCAD, Navisworks, MS Projects, ETAP, Lighting Softwares, HAP.

Role Overview

Beratung Consultants is seeking a skilled Sr. Engineer / Principal Engineer – MEP Design to carryout MEP Design, 3rd Party MEP Commissioning, Risk Assessments, Due Diligence, Audits, IST Works, Operation System Reviews and act as a point of Escalation for all the projects in the region for execution & drive the execution team to deliver the services assigned as per the client requirements & timelines.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Well connected with Project Management, Architects, Cost Consultants, Key Influencers from Clients side for developing business in the region.
- Participating in key meetings & workshops of the project where needed.
- Keep updated on the reference guides/ codes for MEP services.




- Review the design drawings prepared by team for the project.
- Load analysis for structural loading or slab strengthening.
- Review Head load / Electrical load list indicating critical loads, MD calculations and single line diagrams / HVAC schematics.
- Prepare/Review DBR & Concept design reports for MEP Systems.
- Review the design and prepare circuitries and layouts for large power, small power, lighting, Ducting layout, Diffuser layouts, FAPA, Sprinklers, Plumbing etc.
- Coordinating MEP Systems.
- Review technical submittals and provide comments as necessary on time.
- Preparing RCP layouts.
- Motivate the team to complete the projects in an effective and timely manner.
- Preparing Strategies for business development required for Industrial sector.
- Manage the existing design team and the design for the commercial sector.
- Understand the requirements of the projects & details of the projects to guide the team.
- Identify quality issues & prepare site quality reports as required.
- Review the records of Design & Development prepared by the team.
- Review all the as fitted layouts & documents.
- Should be Technically efficient in managing the queries of team and client as per the project requirements.
- Report to the higher management on regular basis on project status & updates.




- Keep Project on track with timely observations & Documentations.
- Give Time to time consultations, on execution of Project activities, technical aspects.
- Assigns responsibilities to support Managers & Engineers to get the project executed.
- Keeping a close track on project milestones, Billing cycles & Outstanding amounts.
- Complete the project within timelines & meet the Client requirements.
- Keeping close interaction with the project team for new upcoming projects & opportunities for business.
- Grooms Supporting Engineers for the service offered for the project.
- Help in developing & documenting case studies for the project.
- Keep Track of Projects TDS certificates & collect them by the end of each quarter.
- Keep track of Project expenses (Travel, Lodging Boarding, Food & Other project related expenses).
- Develop Healthy professional relationships with other project team members such as Architects, PMC’s MEP Designers, Cost Consultants, Contractors.
- Generate leads for new upcoming projects from the contacts & links developed during the project execution works or through past associations.
- Develop a network of people & maintain professional relationships with other team members even after project work is completed, which will help in generating new project leads.

Desired Attributes

- Strong expertise and technical knowledge of MEP, HVAC Design.
- Prior experience in Design consultancies with Data Centre projects is preferred.
- Proactive mindset with a passion for design and innovation.
