Role Description The M.D. Pathologist will provide comprehensive diagnostic services, including the interpretation of histopathology, cytology, and hematology specimens, as well as clinical pathology reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and validating laboratory results, performing microscopic examinations, authoring clear and accurate diagnostic reports, and consulting with clinicians on complex cases.

The role involves supervising laboratory processes for quality assurance, adherence to safety protocols, and continuous improvement of diagnostic standards. The Pathologist will participate in case discussions, support test selection and utilization, and contribute to internal training of laboratory staff as needed.



This is a full-time, in office role located in Imphal, requiring regular presence at Kangla Diagnostic Centre during operational hours.

Qualifications

- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Pathology from a recognized institution, with appropriate licensure/registration as required by local regulations.
- Strong expertise in histopathology and cytopathology, including tissue diagnosis, biopsy reporting, and fine needle aspiration interpretation.
- Competence in hematology and clinical pathology, including blood smear evaluation, coagulation studies, and correlation of laboratory findings with clinical data.
- Proficiency in laboratory quality control, safety standards, and adherence to established diagnostic protocols and accreditation guidelines.
- Excellent diagnostic judgment, attention to detail, and ability to produce clear, concise, and timely pathology reports.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clinicians, laboratory technologists, and administrative staff.
- Ability to work on-site in Imphal on a full-time basis, with a commitment to professional ethics and patient-centered care.
- Prior experience in a hospital or diagnostic centre setting is preferred; familiarity with digital pathology or laboratory information systems is an advantage.
