Role Description The Mathematics Teacher will support Outcome School learners by designing and delivering engaging math lessons that connect directly to technology and workforce readiness. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching remote classes, providing individualized support, and adapting content for different skill levels.



The teacher will collaborate with program staff to align math instruction with broader curricula in coding, AI, and other tech disciplines, and will contribute to learning materials and assessments.

This is a volunteer role and is fully remote, with flexible scheduling to accommodate learners in different locations.

Qualifications

- Solid foundation in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to diverse learners.
- Experience with Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including creating structured, level-based learning materials.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher or equivalent instructional experience in math or related STEM fields.
- Ability to teach effectively in an online environment, using digital tools for instruction, assessment, and feedback.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and supporting underserved and minority youth in accessing high-growth career pathways.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with patience, empathy, and a learner-centered approach.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in tech-focused or workforce development programs is a plus.
