- Lead and Preparation of statutory financial statements (balance sheet, income statement,and all supporting schedules.) in compliance with NAIC regulations and SSAPs.
- Review and approve the preparation and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Oversee the year-end financial close process, ensuring that all reconciliations, adjustments, and journal entries are completed on time.
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations, and compliance requirements that impact statutory reporting and financial filings.
- Implement, monitor, and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial statements
- Work closely with senior finance managers to identify areas of improvement in financial reporting processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the statutory reporting and financial closing process
- Participate in training and development initiatives to keep up to date with changes in financial reporting standards
- Support business units with specific financial information or report requests to aid in decision-making
- Lead special projects or ad-hoc reporting tasks as required by senior management or external stakeholders
- Knowledge of SOVOS reporting tool.
- Experience of SAP Hana ERP
