We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Chemistry Teacher to teach students from Grades 8 to 12. The candidate should have strong conceptual knowledge of Chemistry and the ability to develop deep subject understanding, scientific thinking, application skills and curiosity among students.
The teacher should be well-versed in CBSE competency-based education, HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills), inquiry-based learning and application-oriented teaching, while also ensuring strong academic performance and valuable student results.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Chemistry to students from Grades 8 to 12 with a strong focus on conceptual understanding and subject knowledge.
Develop students' ability to understand, analyse, apply and connect Chemistry concepts to real-life situations.
Follow the CBSE curriculum and ensure effective coverage of the syllabus.
Use competency-based, HOTS, inquiry-based and application-oriented teaching methods.
Encourage scientific thinking, curiosity, questioning and problem-solving skills.
Conduct meaningful laboratory experiments and practical activities to strengthen conceptual learning.
Prepare worksheets, assessments and learning resources that test knowledge, understanding, application and higher-order thinking.
Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate support to improve students' conceptual understanding.
Monitor student progress and implement strategies to achieve solid academic results and overall subject mastery.
Use cutting-edge teaching methods, demonstrations, technology and real-world examples to make Chemistry engaging and meaningful.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate Degree in Chemistry – Mandatory.
B.Ed. – Mandatory.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience – Mandatory.
Experience teaching Grades 8 to 12 – Mandatory.
Skills Required
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to teach students with different learning abilities.
