- Write op-eds and byline thought-leadership articles for partners on current legal and regulatory trends
- Develop perspectives, quotes and story angles for media queries and industry stories
- Write partner profile pieces and prepare content for media interviews and features
- Draft HR- and career-related feature content
- Write and refine submissions, write-ups and questionnaire responses for legal rankings and awards
- Write the firm's and partners' profile copy, and prepare industry trend summaries
- Write legal commentary posts on judgments, regulatory changes and new legislation
- Write knowledge/explainer posts that simplify legal concepts for a business audience
- Write engagement posts (polls, questions) aimed at a CXO/GC audience
- Write copy for festive and seasonal posts in line with the client's tone
- Deliver content against the monthly content calendar and pillars, on schedule
- Write long-form articles and blogs based on SEO content briefs and target keywords
- Ensure legal accuracy while incorporating SEO best practices (keywords, structure, headings)
- Work closely with the client's spokespersons/partners to gather inputs and ensure factual and legal accuracy
- Route all content for internal and client approval before publishing
- Maintain a consistent tone of voice across all content types
- Ensure that the content written by you is original and plagiarism free
Who We're Looking For
- A law graduate (LLB / BA LLB or equivalent)
- 4-5 years of experience writing legal content — with a law firm, legal publication, PR/content agency, or similar
- Solid command over written English, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for a business audience
- Comfortable writing across formats: press releases, articles, LinkedIn posts, profiles and SEO content
- Ability to manage a content calendar and work to tight deadlines
- Prior experience in legal journalism, a law firm's content team, or a legal content agency is preferred
