We are searching for a Lead Software Developer - Java with AWS Cloud to lead delivery of AWS cloud-native microservices, APIs, and related front-end components. You will ensure strong governance and architecture with the CTO organization while driving planning and quality—apply today.

Responsibilities

- Be accountable for the team’s technology solutions and the outcomes delivered
- Guide the team with technical vision and support decision-making
- Clear technology obstacles that appear as the project moves forward
- Work with architects and the CTO organization to maintain governance and best practices
- Ensure solutions address functional and non-functional requirements with high quality
- Enhance system designs, architectures, and frameworks to improve consistency
- Safeguard quality of data models, API contracts, architecture, frameworks, and code
- Contribute to estimates, planning, prioritization, and dependency mapping
- Provide leadership and enable collaboration across teams and stakeholder groups
- Demonstrate hands-on expertise with AWS Cloud-native microservices architecture

Requirements

- Strong background with 8+ years building front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs
- Hands-on experience with Java, Node.js,



and SpringBoot for API and microservices development
- Advanced proficiency with AWS Cloud services such as ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and CloudWatch
- Experience working with DynamoDB and Aurora database technologies
- Practical understanding of Agile methodology and API testing tools
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms including Splunk
- Proven client-facing communication skills and solid presentation capability
- Keen attention to detail and comfort working through ambiguity while staying organized
- Experience leading teams and coordinating across Vanguard Database, the CTO organization, and API Economy initiatives
- Proven ability to translate technical ambiguity into clear, well-defined solutions

- Python familiarity
- Experience with cloud-native data pipeline development
- Experience connecting business insight to API economy principles
