Qualification : B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering

Experience : 6-8 Years

Position Overview: This is a team leader role who will manage the projects and people, while being responsible for his/her own deliverables for Marmon Fastner Group (https://www.marmonfasteners.com/ ) As a Lead Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for engineering activities such as detailed design, analytical calculations, tolerance stack-ups, creating manufacturing drawings, supporting product Rollout activities, and reviewing complex designs/drawings for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to established Engineering Standards and practices pertaining to Marmon Fastner Group. In addition, you need to understand design intent, suggest fastener manufacturing and knowledge about ASME, ANSI and ASTM standards. You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams, leverage technical strategy and best practices, and lead the successful execution of projects.

As a lead engineer, you will be involved in people development, managing on- time project delivery and responsible for quality of deliverables of all the projects within team.

Skills/Experience

- Experience in product design and development of fastening solutions,



with solid understanding of fastener applications, bolted joint design, material selection, thread standards, and integration of fasteners within automotive, commercial vehicle, construction equipment, industrial, oil & gas, defense, marine, or heavy engineering products. (Preferred industry: Experience includes Fasteners, Automotive Components, Industrial Hardware, Forging, and Precision Engineering)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly
- A deep understanding of standard sections, Aluminum extrusion, welding and machining processes used for heavy structures is a must
- Strong technical knowledge of fastener design, metal forming, and casting as well as general engineering and physics concepts
- Proficiency in SolidWorks software, PDM tools and release process
- Experience in the Engineering change management process is a must
- Strong understanding of bolts, screws, nuts, rivets and fastening systems.
- Strong in the application of DFM and DFA techniques to designs
- Well-versed in Cold forging, thread rolling, heat treatment, and surface coating, ASME and ANSI drawing standards • Expertise in Fit analysis, Tolerance stack-up analysis and coating process
