Role Description

- We are seeking a high-calibre Lead Consultant – Supply Chain Technology to join our Supply Chain Technology Consulting practice.
- In this role, you will work with global clients to solve complex supply chain challenges at the intersection of strategy, advanced analytics, planning, and technology.
- You will partner with senior business and functional leaders to transform planning processes, improve forecast and inventory performance, strengthen S&OP; governance, and establish the data and technology foundations required for Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
- This is a highly client-facing role suited to a structured problem solver who combines strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and hands-on implementation capabilities.
- You will have the opportunity to lead workstreams, facilitate client discussions, develop practical solutions, and translate recommendations into measurable improvements across service levels, inventory, margins, and working capital.

Responsibilities

1. Lead Supply Chain Planning Transformations

- Lead the design and implementation of supply chain planning and transformation initiatives.
- Standardize and enhance monthly S&OP; processes across regions, business units, and functions.
- Align Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Category Management, Finance, Sales, and IT stakeholders.
- Drive meeting preparation, executive reporting, decision support, and KPI governance.
- Establish performance management frameworks covering forecast accuracy, forecast bias, service levels, inventory turns, and working capital.
- Identify process gaps and lead initiatives to evolve traditional S&OP; toward Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

Drive Forecasting & Demand Analytics
- Develop and implement demand segmentation approaches covering smooth, intermittent, erratic, and lifecycle-driven demand.
- Improve forecast accuracy at SKU and category levels through structured root-cause analysis.
- Design exception-based reporting and automated performance dashboards.
- Support forecasting model tuning and parameter optimization within advanced planning systems.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.

3. Drive Inventory & Working Capital Improvements
- Analyze inventory positioning across distribution centres, markets, and regions.
- Support safety stock and multi-echelon inventory optimization initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for SKU rationalization, order-frequency optimization, and low-touch planning.
- Assess excess and obsolete inventory, product lifecycle risks, and vendor transition impacts.
- Quantify the working capital implications of planning decisions and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.

4. Develop Decision Support & Technology Solutions
- Develop scalable data models to support forecasting, inventory analytics, and supply chain KPI reporting.
- Automate recurring reporting and analytics using SQL-driven data pipelines.
- Conduct scenario modelling and what-if analysis for demand fluctuations, supply constraints, allocation decisions, and margin impact.
- Partner with IT, Data Engineering, and system owners to enhance planning tools, data architecture, master data, and KPI definitions.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable analytics and technology solutions.
- Support the implementation and adoption of technology-enabled supply chain solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5–10 years of experience in S&OP;, demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, supply chain analytics, or supply chain transformation.
- Experience working in distribution, retail, technology, manufacturing, or similarly complex operating environments.
- Robust understanding of statistical forecasting, demand segmentation, inventory optimization, and working capital management.




- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and/or supply chain planning platforms such as Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, Anaplan, or equivalent systems.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to structure ambiguous and complex business problems.
- Demonstrated ability to develop fact-based recommendations and drive successful implementation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence and credibility to engage with senior client stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Willingness and ability to work 70–80% onsite at client locations, including travel as required.
