Job Summary

Konark Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to manage quantity estimation, cost control, billing, and contract administration for ongoing projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and hands-on experience in project costing and quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates for projects.
- Verify quantities executed at site and prepare client as well as contractor bills.
- Monitor project costs and ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review contracts, tender documents, and project specifications.
- Prepare rate analysis for additional and variation items.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors on commercial and contractual matters.
- Monitor material consumption and prepare reconciliation statements.
- Process and certify subcontractor and vendor bills.
- Maintain records of measurements, billing, project costs, and commercial documentation.




- Assist in claim management and resolution of contractual issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and project requirements.

Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Additional certification in Quantity Surveying, Estimation, or Contracts Management will be an added advantage.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, estimation, billing, and cost control.
- Experience in BOQ preparation and rate analysis.
- Positive understanding of contracts, tendering, and commercial aspects of projects.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of ERP/SAP systems will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Estimation, Billing, or Commercial functions.
- Experience across construction, real estate, infrastructure, industrial, or engineering projects will be preferred.
- Exposure to client billing, subcontractor management, and contract administration is desirable.
