EDUCATION
Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline CERTIFICATIONS

Financial Services preferred but not required
Cloud experience, preferably in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
Experience with monitoring systems
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, Python, or C# including object-oriented design FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Experience with the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
Solid scripting skills in one of the following: Java, Python, C# (.NET)
Solid experience with server side programming, language agnostic
Solid networking knowledge (Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) network layers, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP))
Experience with the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, NGINX)
Full life-cycle development in a commercial environmen
