About The Role The Account Manager role at Procter &
- Gamble is pivotal in driving sales growth and strengthening customer relationships within the Indian market, specifically based in Mumbai GO - PGHL, with opportunities available in Kolkata. This position involves promoting and selling a portfolio of products directly to existing and new customers, managing sales strategies, and ensuring the execution of business plans. The role functions as the single point of contact (SPOC) for PGHL when engaging with third-party business partners, overseeing their performance, and ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Qualifications

Proficiency in data analysis and presentation skills, particularly using PowerPoint (PPT), is essential for effective reporting and strategic planning. Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyze market data, identify growth opportunities, and present insights clearly.
Prior experience in sales, account management, or related roles within the consumer goods industry will be advantageous. A proactive attitude, strategic mindset, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are vital for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business plans in collaboration with third-party sales partners to drive growth and market penetration.
- Monitor and guide third-party supervisors and sales teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies, promotional activities, and store merchandising standards.
- Conduct regular market visits to stores, semi-wholesale outlets, and authorized sellers to ensure proper product placement, promotional compliance, and availability.
- Manage the collection of retailing data, including weekly and monthly orders, sales performance, and customer feedback, to inform decision-making.
- Ensure 100% implementation of promotional schemes, assets, and in-store activations aligned with company guidelines.
- Oversee the adherence to inventory norms, staffing standards, and compliance protocols to maintain operational excellence.
- Collaborate with third-party partners to develop and execute joint business plans, identifying key growth drivers and potential gaps.
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics, including sell-in and sell-out targets, to ensure achievement of business objectives.
- Drive capability building initiatives for sales supervisors and sellers, fostering skill development and performance improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
