Role Description The Junior Trader role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vapi. The individual in this role will support day-to-day trading activities across multiple asset classes, including monitoring markets, executing trades under supervision, and maintaining accurate trading records.
Responsibilities include analyzing market data, preparing basic reports and summaries for senior traders, and assisting with trade reconciliations and compliance checks.
The Junior
Trader will collaborate with the trading and advisory teams to help implement trading strategies, manage risk parameters, and support client-focused initiatives. The role involves learning and applying trading tools, platforms, and risk management practices in a high-paced, professional environment.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret market data and financial metrics effectively.
- Familiarity with capital markets concepts, including equities, derivatives, currencies, and commodities, and an interest in active trading.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic data analysis tools; comfort working with trading platforms and financial software.
- Solid organizational and attention-to-detail skills for trade execution, documentation, and reconciliation tasks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, mathematics, or a related field preferred.
- High level of integrity, professional conduct, and willingness to adhere to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
- Demonstrated curiosity about markets, willingness to learn, and capacity to perform under time-sensitive conditions.
- Prior internship or entry-level experience in trading, investment analysis, or financial services is an advantage but not mandatory.
