Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Junior Product Designer role based in Faridabad.

The Junior Product Designer will support the development of bespoke lighting products by converting design concepts into 3D models, production-ready drawings and complete project files.

The role will work closely with Senior Product Designer and the workshop team to develop models, prepare technical drawings, manage BOMs, coordinate samples and resolve production-related design issues.

The designer will work within Sketch Lighting’s defined design workflow and standards, with responsibility for completing assigned design work accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop Level A & Level B 3D models based on the design direction provided by the Senior Product Designer.
2. Prepare 2D production drawings, section views, assembly drawings and DXF files.
3. Prepare and maintain BOMs, renders and complete project documentation with proper version control.
4. Coordinate with the workshop for samples, follow up on progress and report design/production issues.
5. Develop standard (1B)



designs using approved company standards and references.
6. Check all dimensions, joints, wall thickness, materials and BOMs before submission for review.
7. Support the team in understanding material, hardware and manufacturing requirements.
8. Maintain all project files and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
9. Work under the guidance of the Senior Product Designer; complex/custom (1A) designs and USH/client approvals will be handled by the Senior Product Designer.
10. Ensure proper handover of completed designs and documents after review and approval by the Senior Product Designer.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Valuable knowledge of 2D and 3D modelling and technical drawing.
- Working knowledge of Fusion 360, SolidWorks and AutoCAD/CAD software.
- Ability to create and understand 2D drawings, 3D models, sections, assemblies and basic production drawings.
- Basic understanding of materials, components, hardware, wiring and manufacturing processes will be preferred.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work with measurements, dimensions and technical specifications.
- Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and take feedback positively.
- Freshers with strong technical/design skills are welcome to apply.
- Interest in lighting, product design, architecture or interior environments will be an advantage.
