Design Manager - Interior Design

Purpose of the Role

Reviewing and issuing interior design drawings, technical documentation prepared and provided by external consultants.

Take charge of the complete interior, fit-outs and utilities implementation of assigned projects and handover the same in good quality and time as per schedule.

Assist the Project Manager, Interior Design Lead and External Interior Designers with planning, designing, buying and furnishing the interior space of the assigned projects.

To resolve all site-related issues.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Control, review and issue all working drawings, Valuable for construction drawings, technical drawings, administrative documents etc.
- Ensure work at site is carried out in time. Orange and Red flag delays and in case of delays and plan mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Accounts, Purchase, project team, etc. and external stakeholders like consultant interior designer, MEP Consultants, other consultants etc.
- Work on drawings, layouts and detailing in AutoCad, SketchUp and Photoshop
- Ensuring execution on site as per drawings
- Ensuring timely delivery of interior-related materials
- Specify all fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes or decoration
- Sourcing products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes or decoration and actively seek new materials and finishes.




- Keeping up to date with new developments in the design industry.
- Independently evaluate, select and apply interior design techniques, procedures, and modifications.
- To take responsibility for leading and managing projects from concept design stage, through development of design and all necessary stages, production information, specifications, tender process, including carrying out inspections of projects on site to ensure quality
- Knowledge of technical standards, regulatory frameworks and health & safety.
- Corporate tie-ups with vendors to get standardised products at discounted rates

Qualifications

- Diploma / Degree in Interior Design
- 8-10 years of experience
