Role Description The Intensive Care Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting advanced life-support interventions. Daily responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, updating care plans, documenting clinical findings, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care. The nurse will also educate patients’ families about treatment plans, ensure infection control protocols are followed, and participate in emergency response situations.
This is a full-time,
on-site role based in Tamil Nadu, India, requiring flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in general Nursing skills, including patient assessment, care planning, and clinical documentation.
- Competence in Emergency Nursing, with the ability to respond effectively to acute and life-threatening situations.
- Experience or training in Critical Care Nursing, including ventilator management and continuous monitoring of ICU patients.
- Understanding of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine principles relevant to intensive care settings.
- Recognized nursing qualification (e.g., Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing) and valid nursing registration/licensure as per Indian regulations.
- Previous experience in an ICU or high-dependency unit is highly preferred.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment, with strong communication, empathy, and stress-management skills.
- Commitment to patient safety, adherence to hospital protocols, and willingness to participate in ongoing training and career development.
