Job Overview

LinguaPlanet is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Indonesian Language Proofreader and Translator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating, proofreading, and reviewing content to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and high-quality language standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate documents, educational materials, business communications, and other content between Indonesian and English.
- Proofread and edit Indonesian content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and consistency.
- Ensure translations accurately convey the original meaning, tone, and intent.
- Review translated materials for linguistic and cultural appropriateness.
- Maintain consistency in terminology and language usage across projects.
- Deliver high-quality work within established deadlines.

Requirements




- Native or near-native proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia).
- Proven experience in translation and proofreading.
- Strong command of both Indonesian and English.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid B2, C1, or C2 Indonesian language certification from a recognized institution.
- Prior experience in localization, content review, or language services.
- Experience handling skilled, academic, technical, or corporate content.
- Familiarity with CAT tools and translation software is an advantage.
