About the Role:
As the HR Generalist at the Skilling College of Paramedical Education (SCOPE), you will lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of HR strategies and operations across our paramedical training institutes. You will act as a key enabler for organizational growth through effective talent acquisition, policy implementation, employee engagement, HR operations management and fostering a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Payroll (Compensation, Benefits & Compliance)
- Maintain and regularly update digital and physical employee records
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing through HRMS, Benchmark salaries, administer payroll,
- and manage perks cost-effectively
- Manage HRMS accuracy and data audits
- Set up employee benefits: insurance etc.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Create and update Job Descriptions in alignment with functional requirements
- Manage end-to-end recruitment including screening, interviews, agency coordination
- Proactively build a pipeline of talent through platforms like LinkedIn, employee referrals, and direct sourcing
- for a lean hiring process with strong focus on cultural fit
- Plan manpower needs based on growth plans and new center launches
- Draft and issue offer letters, appointment letters,
and manage joining formalities
- Coordinate onboarding sessions including documentation, HRMS entry, and induction with
- departmental heads
Policy Design & Compliance
- Draft, review, and update HR policies to reflect organizational values and statutory compliance
- Ensure timely communication and implementation of policies across the organization
- Conduct periodic compliance audits and process reviews
Performance Management
- Drive the Performance Management System (PMS) in collaboration with department heads
- Facilitate performance review cycles and ensure timely feedback and goal setting
- Align PMS frameworks with organizational objectives
Employee Engagement & Experience
- Design and manage monthly engagement & recognition calendars and team-building initiatives
- Champion a values-driven, inclusive, and purpose-led workplace
- Create employee communication content (mailers, announcements, etc.)
- Conduct regular feedback sessions, grievance redressal meetings, and pulse checks
Communication & Correspondence
- Draft, review, and manage emails, letters, reports, presentations, and official communications.
- Act as a liaison between the Managing Trustee and internal/external stakeholders.
- Handle confidential correspondence and sensitive information with discretion.
Meeting Coordination
- Prepare meeting agendas and supporting documents.
- Attend meetings as required and record Minutes of Meeting (MOM).
- Track progress on action points and follow up with concerned stakeholders.
Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to ensure smooth functioning of office operations, including coordination with vendors, facilities, office supplies, employee assets, documentation, and other administrative requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for routine administrative activities and ensure timely resolution of operational requirements.
Education Qualification Years of Experience
- Graduate with relevant HR experience; MBA or Postgraduate Degree in Human Resources will be preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in core HR functions
- Prior experience in the education, healthcare, or skilling sector, start-ups or social impact sectors
Technical skills and job Competencies
- Proficient in HRMS platforms and digital HR tools
- Skilled in interviewing, candidate assessment, and onboarding processes
- Understanding of labor laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices
