Job Title: HR Manager –
- Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs)
Location: Chennai
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: VP –
- HR
Role Purpose The HR Manager –
- EBOs will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations for approximately 100 Exclusive Brand Outlets across Southern &
- Eastern India. This role focuses on recruitment, statutory compliance, employee relations, learning & development, and driving motivation and retention initiatives for store-level staff, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives and retail growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition &
- Onboarding
- Plan and execute recruitment strategies for store-level positions (Store Managers, Sales
Associates, Visual Merchandisers, cluster managers etc.).
- Build a pipeline of talent through job portals, campus tie-ups, and local recruitment
channels.
- Ensure smooth onboarding, induction, and cultural integration of recent hires.
- Statutory Compliance &
- HR Policies
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, Shops &
- Establishments Acts, and
Other Statutory Requirements In Respective States.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams for timely filing of statutory returns.
- Conduct periodic audits at stores to ensure adherence to HR policies.
- Employee Relations &
- Engagement
- Act as a point of contact for store employees for grievance redressal and conflict
resolution.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess employee morale and workplace culture.
- Drive employee engagement programs, celebrations, and recognition initiatives to
boost motivation.
- Learning &
- Development
- Identify training needs in collaboration with Store Managers and Operations Team.
- Plan and implement product knowledge sessions, soft skills workshops, and customer
service training.
- Monitor post-training effectiveness and ensure continuous skill enhancement.
- Motivation &
- Retention
- Design and implement incentive schemes, recognition programs, and career
progression plans.
- Analyze attrition data and implement retention strategies.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages loyalty and performance.
- HR Operations &
- Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRMS.
- Prepare periodic HR dashboards on recruitment, attrition, compliance, and
engagement activities.
- Liaise with payroll teams for accurate salary processing and incentives payout.
Key Skills &
- Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and retail HR practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across a geographically dispersed workforce.
- Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS tools.
Qualifications &
- Experience
- Education: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience: 7–10 years in HR, preferably in the retail industry, with multi-store HR
management exposure.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English, Tamil and Hindi.
Travel Requirement
- Frequent travel to stores across Southern &
- Eastern India for recruitment, training, and
employee engagement activities.
