S K AI Pvt Ltd is seeking an accomplished Head of Research & Development for Healthcare & Life Sciences to lead the company’s research, product-development, clinical innovation, and strategic partnership initiatives across healthcare, biotechnology, life sciences, and AI-enabled medical solutions.

This executive role requires a rare combination of medical and scientific knowledge, technology understanding, healthcare business development, research leadership, commercialization experience, and investor-facing executive presence. The successful candidate will work closely with company leadership to build innovative healthcare and life-sciences products, establish collaborations with hospitals and research institutions, support fundraising, and develop a high-value R&D; portfolio with global commercial potential.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and execute the company’s healthcare and life-sciences R&D; strategy, including AI-enabled clinical, diagnostic, research, and decision-support solutions.
- Lead multidisciplinary programs involving physicians, clinical researchers, data scientists, AI engineers, biostatisticians, software developers, and external academic collaborators.
- Identify high-value unmet clinical needs and translate them into commercially viable AI, digital health, MedTech, BioTech, and Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) opportunities.
- Develop research roadmaps, clinical validation strategies, product-development plans, milestones, budgets, KPIs, and commercialization pathways.
- Build strategic relationships with hospitals, medical schools, universities, pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, CROs, healthcare systems, research laboratories, and government organizations.
- Represent S K AI before venture capital firms, private investors, strategic investors, research organizations, healthcare executives, academic investigators, and potential commercial partners.
- Support fundraising through scientific presentations, investor meetings, technical due diligence, product demonstrations, market positioning, and articulation of the company’s clinical and commercial value proposition.
- Lead healthcare and life-sciences business development, including partnership development, research collaborations, licensing opportunities,



joint development programs, and enterprise engagements.
- Evaluate clinical evidence, emerging scientific research, datasets, biomarkers, AI technologies, and market trends to identify new product opportunities.
- Support development of intellectual property, patents, clinical study protocols, publications, grant proposals, regulatory strategies, and scientific documentation.
- Work with regulatory, quality, clinical, engineering, and business teams to establish appropriate pathways for FDA, CDSCO, IEC/IRB, data privacy, clinical validation, and quality-system requirements, as applicable.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performance multidisciplinary healthcare and life-sciences R&D; organization.

Required Qualifications

- MD, PhD, MD-PhD, or equivalent advanced degree in Medicine, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Clinical Research, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Computational Biology, or a closely related discipline.
- An additional MBA, MPH, MS in Data Science/AI, or healthcare management qualification is highly desirable.
- Typically 12+ years of relevant experience, including substantial leadership responsibility in healthcare, life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, MedTech, digital health, clinical research, or healthcare technology organizations.
- Demonstrated experience developing or commercializing healthcare, life-sciences, diagnostic, digital health, AI/ML, clinical decision-support, or SaMD products.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows, medical research, study design, evidence generation, biostatistics, clinical validation, and translational research.
- Experience in healthcare or life-sciences business development, strategic partnerships, licensing, commercialization, or enterprise engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with investors and explain scientific, clinical, technical, regulatory,



and commercial concepts at an executive level.
- Familiarity with AI applications in healthcare, including predictive analytics, biomarker discovery, medical imaging, clinical NLP, precision medicine, drug discovery, or decision-support systems.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, data privacy, clinical research ethics, quality systems, and medical-product development principles.
