Role Description The Senior Manager – Institutional Fundraising is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial work from home. The position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with institutional donors, including foundations, multilateral agencies, and corporate CSR partners. Day-to-day tasks include developing high-quality concept notes and proposals, coordinating with program and research teams to design fundable initiatives, and ensuring alignment between donor priorities and DeHaat Foundation’s strategic objectives.

The role involves maintaining a robust fundraising pipeline, managing grant reporting and compliance, and tracking outcomes and impact for funded projects.

Manager will also support strategic donor engagement events, represent the organization at external forums, and provide regular fundraising forecasts and insights to leadership.

Qualifications

- Strong institutional fundraising and grant management skills, including donor prospecting, proposal development, and reporting.
- Experience in stakeholder management and partnership building with foundations, multilaterals, CSR teams, and other ecosystem actors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills to align fundraising plans with organizational priorities and impact goals.
- Understanding of agriculture, rural development, climate-resilient livelihoods, or related social impact domains is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in using productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office, presentation software, CRM or fundraising databases).
- Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field; significant relevant experience in fundraising or partnerships is preferred.
- Prior experience in non-profit, impact-focused organizations, or development consulting with a focus on resource mobilization is an advantage.
