Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced General Manager - Sales & Marketing to lead the sales and marketing function for the plastic products segment. The candidate should have strong experience in managing dealer and distributor networks, expanding markets, driving sales, and leading regional or pan-India teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for the plastic products division.
- Manage and expand dealer, distributor, stockist, and channel partner networks.
- Drive primary and secondary sales across multiple regions.
- Identify new markets, territories, and business opportunities.
- Set and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Manage distributor performance, inventory, collections, and market coverage.
- Develop pricing strategies, trade schemes, promotional offers, and dealer incentive programs.
- Build solid relationships with distributors, dealers, retailers, contractors, and institutional customers.
- Monitor competitors, pricing, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Lead and mentor regional sales managers, area sales managers, and marketing teams.
- Coordinate with production, supply chain, finance, and logistics teams.
- Manage product launches, dealer meets, exhibitions, branding, and promotional activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 20 years of experience in sales and marketing.
- Strong experience in handling dealer and distributor networks.
- Experience managing multi-state or pan-India sales operations.
- Proven track record of increasing revenue, market share, and distribution reach.
- Strong knowledge of channel sales, secondary sales, trade schemes, and distributor appointment.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, commercial, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA in Sales and Marketing would be preferred.
