About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic Digital Media team at FLAME University. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress, PHP, and modern front-end frameworks such as Next.js and React. This role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing our various websites, microsites, and web applications to ensure they are innovative, responsive, and aligned with our institutional goals.

The developer will work closely with the Senior Developer and Website Development Lead to implement technical solutions that improve user experience, performance, and security.

Qualifications The successful candidate should possess a minimum of 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in full stack or web development. Proven hands-on experience working on live websites, managing development tasks independently, and troubleshooting technical issues is essential. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in WordPress, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like Next.js and React.js.

Experience with REST APIs,



responsive web development, and version control systems such as Git is also required. Additional knowledge of headless WordPress, Linux/web hosting environments, and SEO best practices will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain websites, webpages, and microsites to ensure they are visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly.
- Customize and develop WordPress themes, templates, and functionalities to meet specific project requirements.
- Work on PHP and MySQL-based applications to support dynamic website features and integrations.
- Create responsive webpages utilizing HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, ensuring compatibility across devices and browsers.
- Develop and maintain advanced web applications using Next.js and React.js frameworks.
- Implement headless WordPress solutions to facilitate flexible content management and delivery.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services to enhance website capabilities and functionalities.
- Design, develop, and maintain website forms and their integrations with backend systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website, application, and integration issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Optimize website speed, performance, and responsiveness to provide an excellent user experience.




- Implement technical SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and visibility.
- Perform regular website updates, security checks, and maintenance tasks to ensure robustness and security.
- Test websites across various browsers, devices, and screen sizes to ensure consistent performance.
- Support ongoing website redesign, development, and enhancement initiatives aligned with institutional goals.
- Collaborate with the Digital Media team to gather requirements and provide technical solutions accordingly.
