About The Role The Software Developer (Automation/Full Stack) role at S&P; Global offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, innovative environment focused on building scalable, secure, and high-performance data-driven web applications deployed on AWS. As part of a cross-functional team, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end solutions that support critical data management, reporting, and analytics functions. Your work will directly impact internal stakeholders by enabling efficient data workflows, secure access, and insightful reporting capabilities.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to development and operational support, offering a comprehensive experience across the full technology stack and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software development, data engineering, and cloud technologies, with the following qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python for backend development, ETL pipelines, and automation tasks,



with experience troubleshooting and optimizing data workflows.
- Hands-on experience with REST API development, integration with platforms like Databricks, and familiarity with SQL and data modeling techniques.
- Experience in full-stack development using Django and React, with a solid understanding of frontend and backend integration.
- Practical knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, VPC, ALB, Route 53, IAM, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience working with Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), and version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of SAML-based authentication systems such as Okta or similar identity providers.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend systems using Django and Python, including designing REST APIs, implementing authentication mechanisms (SAML/Okta), integrating with Databricks, and managing data models and migrations.
- Create and enhance frontend applications with React, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs, handling authentication flows, error states, and delivering user-friendly interfaces for data exploration, approvals, and reporting.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including configuring EC2 instances, VPCs, load balancers, DNS routing, SSL certificates, and IAM roles for secure access control.
- Manage Docker container environments, automate deployment processes, and monitor system performance to ensure high availability and reliability of applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based ETL pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources such as APIs,



S3 buckets, databases, and external systems, ensuring scalability and reusability.
- Support and troubleshoot production ETL jobs across Linux, AWS Lambda, EC2, and Windows environments, monitor scheduled workflows, resolve failures promptly, and perform root cause analysis to implement long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, data engineers, and DevOps teams, to document APIs, processes, and infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance standards are met.
- Provide operational support, including bug fixes, feature enhancements, and stability improvements, to ensure continuous system performance and user satisfaction.
