We’re growing rapidly with global customers and are looking for early engineers to join us at a defining stage of the company. You’ll work closely with the founders and customers, own critical product areas, and have a meaningful role in shaping Plumo’s product, technology, and roadmap from the ground up.

The team is composed of experienced operators and engineers from leading companies such as Microsoft, Salesforce, and Walmart, with deep expertise in designing and scaling enterprise systems.

Qualifications

As a Founding Engineer at Plumo, you will work closely with founders and customers to take AI systems from concept to production and own them end-to-end from day one.

This is a highly hands-on role and we are looking for someone with 2 - 4 years of software engineering experience, preferably in a startup. You’ll work directly on enterprise workflows, build AI-powered solutions, deploy them in actual customer environments, and continuously improve them based on production usage and feedback.

You should be comfortable working with:

- AI agents & LLMs:



agentic workflows, tool calling, structured outputs, prompt engineering, model selection and orchestration
- RAG & memory: embeddings, vector search, retrieval, context management and evaluation
- Backend engineering: APIs, databases, integrations, async/background processing and distributed systems
- Production AI systems: evaluation, observability, reliability, latency and cost optimization
- Customer environments: integrating with existing systems, understanding messy real-world workflows, debugging production issues and building solutions within customer constraints
- Rapid AI-assisted development: using modern AI coding tools effectively to go from idea to prototype to production quickly, while maintaining strong engineering standards

Location and Travel

This is a hybrid, on-site role, with a preference for candidates based in Bangalore.

You’ll also travel to customer offices as needed. This is an important part of the role and a great opportunity to work closely with customers, understand businesses first-hand, and build a strong professional network across companies and industries.

We care less about whether you’ve used a particular AI framework and more about whether you can learn quickly, build quickly, communicate well and take complete ownership of what you build.
