Role Description This full-time, remote Forward Deployed Engineer role focuses on building, deploying, and maintaining autonomous AI agents and related backend services for clients and internal projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing backend systems, integrating agent frameworks and toolkits, and optimizing performance, reliability, and scalability across distributed environments. The role involves close collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and iterate quickly based on feedback.

Engineer will also contribute to reference implementations, documentation,



and best practices, helping grow the AgenticFoundry.org ecosystem and community.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, with the ability to design and reason about complex, distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including experience with at least one modern language commonly used for backend or agent development (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or similar).
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, data storage, and performance optimization.
- Experience building or integrating AI agents, workflows, or automation systems; familiarity with agent toolkits (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen) is a plus.
- Comfort working directly with customers or stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot production issues, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containerization, and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, serverless platforms) is beneficial.
- Strong problem-solving skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote, team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
