Job Requirements

- We are seeking a detail-oriented QA / Financial Data Validation Engineer with expertise in financial systems validation, billing reconciliation, and production verification.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in designing and executing automated test cases for financial data pipelines, billing systems, and web applications.
- This role involves data profiling, automated back-testing, and parallel file reconciliation of large-scale billing and accounting data.
- You will manage test execution grids, handle edge-case failures, and conduct production validation while collaborating closely with developers, finance, business, and technology teams to ensure data quality, compliance, system integrity, and financial processing accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, formulate, and execute comprehensive automated test cases to validate billing, accounting, financial data pipelines, web applications, and processing systems.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and reconciliation gaps.
- Validate billing files and perform parallel file reconciliation between system-generated outputs, manually prepared baseline sheets, and target journal baseline sheets.
- Conduct automated back-testing of multi-gigabyte billing files to verify calculation accuracy and data consistency.
- Execute and monitor testing scripts, analyze and profile script execution performance, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Identify, analyze, flag, and report discrepancy margins and variances across financial datasets and billing outputs.
- Map, document, validate,



and manage edge-case scenarios and failures to ensure complete test coverage.
- Manage and coordinate the core end-to-end test execution grid, including test planning, execution tracking, defect management, and reporting.
- Support and conduct smoke testing and validation of initial live production monthly closing runs to ensure successful deployment and business continuity.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, finance, and technical teams to resolve defects, ensure quality and compliance, and improve testing processes.
- Prepare test reports, reconciliation summaries, and validation sign-offs for project stakeholders.

Key Skills

- Expertise in formulating and executing financial test cases for complex financial, billing, and web application processes.
- Proficiency in automated testing tools (Selenium, PyTest, etc.), Python, SQL, and Power BI for data verification and reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience in data profiling, financial data validation, and script execution profiling.
- Experience in preparing target journal baseline sheets, parallel file reconciliation against manual sheets, and automated back-testing of multi-gigabyte billing files.
- Ability to flag discrepancy margins, investigate variances, perform root cause analysis, map edge-case failures, and validate exception scenarios.
- Robust capability in managing the core test execution grid (planning, tracking, execution, defect management, and reporting).
- Experience in smoke testing, supporting production validation, and verifying initial live production monthly closing runs.
- Knowledge of financial operations testing, with strong analytical, reconciliation, and validation skills.
