ABOUT MKX

MKX is a Dubai-based, VARA-licensed virtual asset broker-dealer (VL/2025/04/001) enabling AED–crypto on and off-ramps in the UAE. As a regulated financial business handling both fiat and digital assets, disciplined finance and reporting sit at the core of everything we do.

We’re building out our finance function and are looking for someone to work directly under the CFO as a trusted right hand.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Finance Manager to work closely with the CFO on day-to-day finance operations, reporting and controls across both fiat and crypto. You’ll own the mechanics — books, reconciliations, reporting, and regulatory financial requirements — while helping the CFO build a finance function fit for a regulated, scaling business.

This role suits someone rigorous and detail-obsessed who wants real ownership and is comfortable in the newer world of digital-asset finance.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Own the books. Manage day-to-day accounting, month-end close, journal entries and the general ledger across fiat and crypto.
- Reconcile everything. Perform daily and monthly reconciliations across bank accounts, wallets, exchange balances and client funds with zero tolerance for gaps.
- Report clearly. Prepare management accounts, financial statements, cash-flow and MIS reporting for the CFO, board and stakeholders.
- Support compliance. Assist with VARA financial reporting, audits and regulatory filings, working alongside compliance and external auditors.
- Watch the cash. Monitor treasury,



cash and stablecoin positions, and support liquidity and working-capital management.
- Strengthen controls. Help design and maintain internal financial controls, policies and processes as the business scales.
- Partner up. Coordinate with operations, compliance and external accountants/auditors to keep financial data accurate and timely.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

- 3–6 years in finance or accounting, ideally within financial services, fintech, an exchange or a crypto business.
- Qualification. CA / ACCA / CPA (or part-qualified with strong practical experience) is strongly preferred.
- Technical depth. Solid grasp of accounting standards, reconciliations, month-end close and financial reporting.
- Detail-obsessed. Exceptional accuracy and diligence — you treat every reconciliation and figure as something that must tie out.
- Systems-savvy. Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting software (e.g. Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero or similar).
- Regulated awareness. Understanding of, or genuine interest in, the financial and regulatory requirements of a licensed financial entity.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience reconciling crypto wallets, exchange balances or on-chain transactions.
- Exposure to VARA, DFSA, ADGM or another regulated financial framework.
- Familiarity with client-money handling and segregation requirements.
- Experience supporting audits in a fast-growing company.
