Pentaspace Design Studio is a leading architectural and design firm headquartered in Mumbai, known for visionary commercial, residential, and master-planning developments that blend aesthetic excellence with functional precision. As we expand our footprint, we are seeking a strategic, execution-focused Chief Financial Officer to drive financial health, strengthen operational discipline, and guide strategic investment decisions.

Role Overview The CFO will be a key strategic leader overseeing Pentaspace's financial operations end-to-end. Beyond core finance, this role carries direct ownership of working capital control (client payment collections), oversight of legal and HR documentation (contracts and offer letters), financial analysis, and identification of strategic investment opportunities to support the firm's growth. The role also requires close coordination with legal counsel and HR to ensure all documentation meets statutory and commercial standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Investment Analysis

- Formulate and execute financial strategies aligned with the firm's short-term targets and long-term expansion plans.
- Evaluate investment opportunities for company growth, treasury management, surplus deployment, and new venture viability.
- Conduct risk assessments, financial modeling, and scenario analyses to guide executive decision-making.

Cash Flow & Revenue Management

- Own the framework for client, developer, and partner payment collections, escalating stalled or high-risk accounts directly.
- Oversee cash flow management, working capital optimization, and credit period controls.




- Build and monitor systems to track aged receivables and minimize outstanding project dues.

Contracts, HR & Legal Oversight

- Review and finalize client contracts, vendor agreements, project retainerships, and consultant fee structures, coordinating with legal counsel as needed.
- Ensure all agreements align with corporate policy, Indian labor law, and commercial interest protections.

Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Planning

- Manage corporate budgeting, project-wise profitability tracking, and variance analysis.
- Deliver accurate quarterly and annual financial statements, tax filings, and audit compliance under Indian regulations, including GST, Income Tax, TDS, and RERA where applicable.
- Establish internal financial controls, cost-optimization initiatives, and corporate governance frameworks.

Key Requirements

- Education: MBA in Finance.
- Experience: 3–5 years of post-qualification financial leadership or core finance experience, preferably in Architecture, Real Estate, Design, Construction, or Skilled Services and follow-up with client’s for payments.
- Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai.

Mandatory Skills

- Proven ownership of client receivables and revenue tracking.
- Robust legal aptitude for reviewing contracts and HR documentation.
- High proficiency in strategic financial analysis, budgeting, and investment evaluation.
- Solid command of Indian taxation (GST, Income Tax, TDS), company law, and regulatory compliance; RERA familiarity preferred.
- Working proficiency with financial/ERP systems (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, SAP).
- Exceptional communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Good Spoken English.
