Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara for experienced professionals specializing in avionics and flight communication systems. The role involves designing, integrating, and testing avionics hardware and software for unmanned aerial systems, ensuring robust, reliable, and safe operation.
Responsibilities include developing and validating flight communication architectures, configuring data links, radios, and telemetry systems, and troubleshooting issues in lab and field environments. The professional will collaborate with cross-functional teams in mechanical design, software,
and systems engineering to refine UAS platforms and support mission planning and execution. The role also includes documenting system designs, contributing to compliance with aviation and communication standards, and providing technical support for deployments and customer operations.
Qualifications
- Robust expertise in avionics systems, including flight controllers, navigation sensors, and power management modules.
- Hands-on experience with flight communication systems such as RF links, telemetry, datalinks, and ground control station interfaces.
- Proficiency in systems integration, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and troubleshooting electronic and communication subsystems.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations related to UAVs, aviation safety, and wireless communication.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Experience with embedded systems, firmware configuration, and basic scripting or programming for automation is beneficial.
- Background in aerospace, electronics, or communication engineering; a bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Comfort with on-site lab and field testing, including outdoor flight trials and iterative system refinement.
- Prior experience in UAVs, defense systems, or high-reliability industrial communication platforms is an advantage.
