Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) — New Business Ventures
Location: Delhi NCR
Experience: 5–10 years preferred; exceptional founders/operators may be considered irrespective of experience
Reporting to:- Founder & CEO
About the Role
We are looking for an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) to build the next generation of businesses within CredFlow.
This is a zero-to-one entrepreneurial role.
You will identify large business opportunities adjacent to our existing ecosystem, validate them rapidly, build the initial business, and take successful ventures from ₹0 → ₹10 Cr → ₹100 Cr+.
Credflow already has several powerful assets — a large SME network, significant business and transaction data, lending capabilities, an NBFC, relationships with lenders, and deep access to businesses across sectors such as solar, manufacturing, distribution, trading, auto, pharma and engineering.
Your job is to answer:
“What businesses can we build on top of these assets that can become very large standalone businesses?"
One of the initial opportunities we are exploring is solar component procurement. We already finance solar EPCs and have relationships with them. The chance is to build a procurement business around this existing financing relationship — aggregating demand, sourcing components, negotiating better prices, financing purchases, and potentially creating a full-stack solution for the solar ecosystem.
But this is only one example. We expect the EIR to continuously identify and build such opportunities.
What You Will Own
1. Identify New Business Opportunities
- Identify large, underserved markets where Credflow has an unfair advantage.
- Look for opportunities leveraging our existing SME network, financing capability, data, distribution and lender relationships.
- Develop business theses around opportunities with ₹100 Cr+ annual revenue potential.
2. Validate Ideas Extremely Quickly
- Speak directly with customers, suppliers, partners and industry experts.
- Test demand before building significant infrastructure.
- Determine pricing, margins, competitive dynamics and unit economics.
- Kill bad ideas quickly and double down on promising ones.
3. Build Businesses From Scratch Once an opportunity is validated, you will own the entire launch:
- Business model
- Product
- Supply-side partnerships
- Customer acquisition
- Pricing
- Operations
- Technology requirements
- Hiring
- P&L;
- Working capital
- Unit economics
You will initially operate like a founder, not like a functional manager. 4. Scale Successful Businesses
- Build the first ₹1 Cr of revenue.
- Establish repeatable GTM and operating processes.
- Hire the team required to scale.
- Build toward ₹10 Cr, ₹50 Cr and ultimately ₹100 Cr+ businesses.
- Transition successful ventures into independent verticals/business units within the group.
Example: Solar Procurement Business
Today, Credflow already finances solar EPC companies.
We want to explore whether we can build a much larger business around this relationship by becoming a procurement partner for these EPCs.
Potentially
Solar EPC → CredFlow Financing → CredFlow Procurement → Better Pricing → Better Working Capital → Higher EPC Throughput The EIR would be expected to figure out:
- What components to procure
- Which manufacturers/distributors to partner with
- Procurement economics and gross margins
- How much demand we can aggregate
- Whether to hold inventory or operate asset-light
- How financing can be embedded into procurement
- How to acquire the first 50–100 customers
- How to build a ₹100 Cr+ business
You won't be handed a playbook. You will be expected to create one.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated entrepreneurial horsepower.
You could be
- A founder who has built a business and wants to build again with significantly greater resources.
- An early-stage startup operator who has taken a business from 0→1 or 1→10.
- A high-performing business leader who has repeatedly launched new products, markets or revenue lines.
- Someone from a high-growth startup who has strong commercial instincts and wants to become an entrepreneur.
What matters more than pedigree is:
Can you find an opportunity, sell it, build it and make money from it?
KEY TRAITS
Commercially Obsessed
You instinctively think about customers, revenue,
margins and distribution.
Zero-to-One Mindset
You enjoy ambiguity and building things that don't exist yet.
Extremely Execution-Oriented
You don't spend three months making a strategy deck. You spend three weeks talking to customers and testing the hypothesis.
Strong Sales Ability
You should be comfortable selling to customers, suppliers, manufacturers, lenders and strategic partners.
High Agency
If something needs to get done, you figure out how to get it done.
Analytical + Entrepreneurial
You can build a business model in Excel but are equally comfortable making 20 customer calls yourself.
Fast Learner
You may move from solar to another industry entirely. You need to understand new industries quickly.
Capital Efficient
You know how to test businesses without unnecessarily burning capital.
What Success Looks Like In the first 12 months, you should ideally:
- Identify 10–20 potential business opportunities.
- Deeply validate 3–5.
- Launch 1–2 businesses.
- Take at least one business from ₹0 to meaningful revenue.
- Establish clear product-market fit and unit economics.
- Build the initial team.
- Create a roadmap toward a ₹100 Cr+ business.
Over time, the expectation is that you become the Founder of one or more major new businesses within the Credflow group. WHY CREDFLOW?
You won't be starting with a blank sheet of paper.
You will have access to:
- 180,000+ businesses connected to our ecosystem
- A large network of SMEs across multiple industries
- An existing lending and financing platform
- Our own NBFC
- ₹100 Cr+ of equity capital raised
- Significant lending/disbursement infrastructure
- Deep lender relationships
- Business and transaction data
- Existing teams across technology, credit, finance and operations
The opportunity is to combine these assets in ways we haven't yet imagined.
COMPENSATION
Competitive fixed compensation + significant performance-linked incentives / ESOPs, with meaningful upside for businesses successfully built and scaled.
This is intended to be an entrepreneurial ownership role, not a traditional corporate position.
The One-Line Test
If you get excited by the idea of being told:
“Here are our assets. Find a ₹100 Cr business we can build with them — and go build it.”
—you will probably enjoy this role.
