Arintra is building an NLP/LLM-powered medical coding platform using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. We're looking for an engineering manager who has actually led teams through agentic SDLC adoption beyond simply introducing AI coding tools.

Responsibilities

- Lead a team of 6-10 backend/platform engineers across hiring, performance, growth, and retention.
- Own roadmap delivery, engineering quality, reliability, and on-call health.
- Drive agent-assisted SDLC across design, implementation, code review, testing, and production debugging.
- Redesign engineering processes such as estimation, Definition of Done, PR standards, review checklists, and quality gates for agent-authored code.
- Establish guardrails around security, healthcare data, compliance, and licensing.
- Measure impact through cycle time, review latency, escaped defects, revert rate, test coverage, and MTTR.
- Partner with product, clinical/domain, data, and engineering leadership.

Requirements

- 9+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years of direct people management.
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, and microservices background.




- Recent hands-on leadership of Agentic SDLC adoption using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Devin, Copilot Agent Mode, or equivalent.
- Experience applying agents across 3+ SDLC stages.
- Proven ability to change engineering processes, not just introduce tools.
- Strong understanding of agentic-workflow failure modes: review fatigue, incorrect tests, context loss, skill atrophy, and hidden quality debt.
- Strong production ownership, reliability, and stakeholder management.

Nice To Have

- Internal agents / MCP integrations with Jira, BigQuery, or observability platforms.
- LLM evaluation/regression frameworks.
- Datadog, Current Relic, Prometheus/Grafana.
- Healthcare, FHIR/HL7 or medical coding experience.
- AWS/GCP, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Neo4j.
- Ideal candidate: An EM who can demonstrate a real before/after story of how they changed their team's way of planning, reviewing, testing, and shipping software with AI agents, backed by measurable outcomes.
