About the Role

We're hiring Engineering Leads to own solutioning end-to-end: setting technical direction, making design and build-vs-buy calls, and holding the engineering bar across the team. This is a hands-on role — expect to spend roughly half your time in the code, on the hardest problems in front of you. You'll draw on whichever of these areas a given initiative calls for:

- Agentic AI & document intelligence — the in-product agentic assistant, the agent runtime layer (AWS Bedrock AgentCore), the document intake pipeline, and document AI (OCR, vision, classification, extraction)
- Core engine — correctness-critical calculation engines, the document-generation systems built on them, manual & automated adjustment flows, and audit/traceability across market-specific product suites
- Core platform & workflow — workflow/job orchestration, RBAC,



the operational command center, notifications, and review & approval surfaces
- Data intelligence, reports & observability — anomaly & exception analysis, auto-classification/mapping (deterministic rules + embeddings + LLM tiers), aggregation & reporting engines, and the platform-wide observability stack (Grafana/Loki/Tempo/Prometheus)
- Integrations — OAuth-based SaaS integrations, banking-data APIs, public registries, the integration framework itself, and sync/reconciliation engines

Rather than owning one narrow, permanent slice, you'll move fluidly across these areas as priorities shift — going deep wherever the hardest problem currently lives.

What You'll Do

- Own solutioning end-to-end: turn product intent into technical direction, sequence delivery with your product owner and PMO, de-risk hard parts early with spikes and prototypes.
- Design and build hands-on — carry the most critical stories yourself and unblock others fast.
- Set and enforce engineering standards: design reviews, code reviews, testing discipline, CI-enforced architecture rules.
- Make quality measurable and own it in production — performance, reliability, observability, evals where applicable.
- Grow your team: mentor engineers, level up their design thinking, build a culture where the best idea wins.
- Work as one team with product, QA and other teams — surface dependencies loudly and early.

What You Bring

- 7–10 years of relevant engineering experience, including 2+ years leading, anchoring, or being a lead for a small team
- Strong Python and solid distributed-systems instincts
- Depth in one or more of: LLM/agentic systems, correctness-critical/rules engines, workflow & realtime systems, data/matching engines & observability, or third-party integrations & sync systems
- A security and privacy mindset appropriate to your domain
- Experience raising engineering standards — testing discipline, design reviews, CI — on a team you've led or anchored
