Pinetics is hiring an Engineering Manager to own client delivery across electronics hardware and firmware.

This opening is only for people with Electronics background with BE/ME/MSc in Electronics.

You will run 2 to 4 concurrent product development projects and lead roughly 10 to 20 engineers through Tech Leads, across hardware, firmware, embedded and application layers. You will be the person our clients in Europe and the US call, and the person accountable when a date is at risk.

You will not sit in the schematic tool day to day, and design authority stays with the Tech Leads. But you must have done this work yourself. We need hands-on history in both electronics hardware and firmware.

Weighted more to one than the other is fine, but enough in both to guide the team, judge whether a design or an estimate is sound, and take a project to closure without waiting for someone senior to step in. Our founders are engineers and are there when you need them. The expectation is that you lead your projects independently.

This is not a programme management role. If your career has been RAID logs, PI planning and status reporting without engineering years behind it, this is not the role for you and we will not shortlist you.

What decides this hire

Three things, in this order. Technical soundness: you have built electronics and written firmware yourself, so you can tell a sound design from a plausible one, and a real estimate from an optimistic one. Communication: you can hold a review with a European or US client in English, including the calls where the news is bad. Ownership:



you treat the product as yours from requirement to certification, and you close problems rather than pass them upward.

How we work, so you can judge the fit yourself

Pinetics is founder-led and engineer-led. Decisions get made in the room by the people doing the work, and they show up in the product within weeks. You will know every engineer on your projects by name, and you will talk to clients directly rather than through an account manager.

There is no programme management layer above you and no process department to hand a problem to, which is exactly why the scope is genuinely yours: end to end ownership of real products from requirement to certification, direct client relationships in Europe and the US, a say in how the delivery function itself gets built, and room to grow as the company grows. Some of your own coordination work comes with that. If you want hard technical problems and the authority to close them, this is the right place.

If you want a defined slice of a larger machine, it is not.

Essential

- You have personally worked as an engineer on electronics hardware and on firmware. Minimum 4 years in hands-on engineering roles before moving into delivery or management,



covering both schematic or board level hardware and microcontroller firmware. Your CV must name the products, the boards and the microcontrollers.
- Hardware: schematic design or component-level review, board bring-up, lab debug with a scope, logic analyser or protocol analyser.
- Firmware: microcontroller firmware in C or C++, bare-metal or RTOS, plus SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi or BLE.
- Proven record of owning multi-month client projects end to end and hitting committed dates, or of recovering projects that had slipped.
- Experience leading 10 to 20 engineers through Tech Leads.
- Excellent spoken and written English. You will run reviews, demos and difficult conversations directly with European and US clients.
- B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunication, or Electronics and Instrumentation. Electrical Engineering only where the hands-on electronics and firmware history is solid.
- 8 to 15 years total, of which at least 4 hands-on engineering and at least 3 owning delivery.
- Based in Pune or willing to relocate. In-office role, Wakad.

- Product design services, outsourced product development or contract engineering background.
- Delivering to European or US clients, particularly startups.
- IoT or IoMT, and regulated development such as ISO 13485.
- Having taken a product through a CE, FCC, UL or BIS certification cycle.
- Having taken a product from concept to volume production, not only through validation.
- German or another European language.
