Job Summary The AutoCAD HVAC & Revit Draftsman/Designer is responsible for preparing detailed HVAC engineering drawings, layouts, and 3D BIM models using AutoCAD and Revit software. The role involves supporting the design, installation, and commissioning teams by developing accurate drawings in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities HVAC Design & Drafting

- Prepare HVAC layout drawings, ducting layouts, piping layouts, equipment placement drawings, and coordination drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop and maintain HVAC BIM models using Revit.
- Generate shop drawings, installation drawings, as-built drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Create HVAC schematics, mechanical room layouts, and equipment schedules.
- Prepare BOQ support drawings and material quantity take-offs.

BIM & Revit Modeling
- Develop 3D HVAC models for commercial, industrial, and data center projects.
- Perform clash detection and coordination with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural teams.
- Update and modify BIM models based on project revisions and site feedback.
- Ensure adherence to BIM execution plans and project standards.

Documentation & Coordination
- Review engineering sketches, specifications, and design calculations.
- Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, customers, and site teams.
- Maintain drawing registers and revision control records.
- Support project documentation during design, installation, and commissioning phases.

Quality & Compliance
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable HVAC codes, standards, and company guidelines.




- Verify drawing accuracy before release.
- Incorporate client comments and design changes promptly.

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification in AutoCAD and Revit preferred.
- Additional BIM certification is an advantage.

Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in HVAC drafting and BIM modeling.
- Experience in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, data centers, or critical infrastructure projects preferred.

Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
- Strong working knowledge of Revit MEP.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including:
- Chilled Water Systems
- DX Systems
- VRF/VRV Systems
- PAC Units
- AHUs and FCUs
- Ventilation Systems

- Understanding of HVAC design standards and construction drawings.
- Familiarity with Navisworks and BIM coordination tools is desirable.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
