## Role Overview

As Resident Endodontist, you will own the endodontic and advanced restorative caseload across our clinic network. Complex cases are identified and referred to you by our associate dentists across all clinics, giving you a consistent case flow without having to build your own patient base. You will manage cases end-to-end — from diagnosis and pain management through root canal therapy, retreatment, and coordination of the final restoration.

## Key Responsibilities

Endodontics

- Perform primary root canal treatments across the full spectrum of complexity — multi-rooted, calcified, curved-canal, and open-apex cases
- Manage endodontic retreatments, instrument retrieval, and perforation repair
- Handle endodontic emergencies: acute pulpitis, apical abscess,



and dental trauma cases
- Perform surgical endodontics (apicoectomy) where indicated
- Deliver post & core build-ups and coordinate crown/final restoration with the prosthodontic team

Restorative & Aesthetic Dentistry

- Provide advanced restorative care — direct composite restorations, aesthetic build-ups, and smile corrections within specialty scope

Clinical Collaboration

- Review referred cases with associate dentists and confirm specialist treatment plans
- Present treatment plans, prognosis, and options clearly to patients, including staged and financial considerations
- Guide the general dentist team on endodontic case selection — what to treat in-house and what to refer
- Complete all clinical documentation, consent forms, and treatment notes in the practice management software on the same day of treatment
- Maintain strict asepsis, sterilization, and biomedical waste protocols

## Mandatory Qualifications
- MDS in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics from a DCI-recognized institution
- Valid registration with the Karnataka State Dental Council (or willingness to transfer registration before joining)
- Minimum 2 years of post-MDS clinical experience with a demonstrated record of independently managed complex endodontic cases
- Proficiency with rotary/reciprocating file systems,



electronic apex locators, and digital radiography
- Sound diagnostic judgment in pulpal and periapical pathology, including interpretation of CBCT where indicated
- Strong patient communication skills — ability to explain prognosis and multi-visit treatment plans and build trust
- Commitment to infection control, patient safety, and ethical professional practice
- Willingness to work full-time on-site with a rotational weekly off and to travel between network clinics as per case scheduling

## Preferred
- Experience with magnification-assisted endodontics (loupes / dental operating microscope)
- Exposure to single-visit RCT protocols and full-mouth rehabilitation coordination
- Prior experience in an organized multi-clinic or specialist referral setting
