Role Description The Electrical Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for overseeing end-to-end execution of electrical EPC projects. This role includes planning project scope, schedules, and budgets; coordinating design, procurement, and installation activities; and ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

The Electrical Project

Manager will lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage electrical contractors and vendors, and monitor progress to achieve milestones within time and cost targets.



Daily responsibilities include reviewing electrical drawings, resolving site issues, conducting inspections, preparing progress reports, and liaising with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. The role also involves risk management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of project processes to support reliable power transmission and distribution outcomes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong technical knowledge in Electricity and Electrical Engineering to manage complex power transmission and distribution projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design and Electrical Contracting to review drawings, coordinate installations, and supervise site execution.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Budgeting to plan, track, and optimize project costs and resources.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; postgraduate specialization in power systems or project management is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience managing medium to large electrical EPC projects, preferably in transmission, distribution, or rural electrification.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines; familiarity with utility and government tender procedures is beneficial.
- Solid project management, leadership, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and contractors on-site.
- Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office, and basic CAD or design review software
