We are looking for a highly experienced Electrical Systems Lead to own the electrical architecture and development of our aerospace products from concept through integration, testing, and deployment.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an engineer who can combine strong electrical and embedded systems expertise with system-level thinking and technical leadership. The role will establish engineering direction, drive critical technical decisions, lead system integration and verification, and build the capabilities of the electrical engineering team.
The role will also contribute to the company's technology roadmap through evaluation of emerging technologies and development of strategic relationships with suppliers, industry, academia, and research organizations.
1.Key Responsibilities
1.1 Electrical Systems & Product Development
Own the electrical architecture of aerospace and UAV products, including system requirements, interfaces, component selection, and technical trade-offs.
Lead design and integration of power electronics, embedded systems, battery and energy management systems, motor drives, sensors, controls, and communication interfaces.
Drive engineering decisions using first-principles analysis, mathematical modelling, quantitative reasoning, and system-level trade-offs.
Lead electrical system integration across embedded software, controls, mechanical, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines.
Drive verification, validation, HIL testing, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and root-cause resolution.
Ensure designs meet requirements for performance, reliability, safety, manufacturability, EMI/EMC, and applicable standards.
Provide technical direction on electrical design reviews, testing, qualification, and field/flight-test activities.
1.2 Technical Leadership
Build, mentor, and lead the Electrical Engineering team.
Set technical direction, engineering standards, design-review practices, and development processes.
Plan and monitor technical deliverables, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
Make architecture-level decisions and resolve complex technical issues.
Develop engineering capability through mentoring, technical reviews, recruitment, and performance development.
1.3 Technology & Strategic Partnerships
Define and maintain the Electrical Systems Technology Roadmap in line with product and business objectives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve product performance,
reliability, cost, and scalability.
Identify and develop technical relationships with industry partners, suppliers, academic institutions, research organizations, and testing laboratories.
Support technology collaborations, joint development initiatives, technical due diligence, grants, and customer discussions.
Represent the organization in relevant technical forums and industry engagements.
2. Education & Experience
Qualification
Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Experience
10+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in aerospace, UAV, defence, robotics, automotive, or other complex engineering product environments.
Proven experience in end-to-end product development, from system architecture and design through integration, verification, testing, and deployment.
Demonstrated experience owning complex electrical systems and making architecture-level technical decisions.
Proven experience leading technical teams and working across multidisciplinary engineering functions.
Strong preference for candidates with hands-on UAV/aerospace electrical and electronic systems experience.
