Job Overview

LinguaPlanet is seeking a highly skilled Dutch Language Proofreader and Translator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in translation, proofreading, and quality assurance, ensuring that all content meets the highest linguistic and cultural standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate documents, articles, business communications, and educational materials between Dutch and English.
- Proofread and edit Dutch content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and consistency.
- Ensure translated content accurately reflects the original meaning, tone, and context.
- Review and refine content for linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Maintain consistency in terminology and language usage across projects.
- Deliver high-quality work within specified deadlines.

Requirements




- Native or near-native proficiency in Dutch.
- Proven experience in translation and proofreading.
- Strong command of both Dutch and English.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments effectively.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid B2, C1, or C2 Dutch language certification from a recognized institution (mandatory).
- Previous experience in localization, content review, or language services.
- Experience working with professional, academic, technical, or corporate content.
- Familiarity with CAT tools and translation software is an added advantage.
