Role Description The Director of Engineering will lead cross-functional engineering teams to design, build, and deliver AI and digital engineering solutions aligned with Primexius’s strategic vision. This full-time, hybrid role is based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with a mix of in office collaboration and work-from-home flexibility. Key day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing software development projects, defining engineering roadmaps, ensuring high-quality delivery, and driving integration of systems and platforms across client environments.

The role involves close collaboration with product, architecture, and business stakeholders, mentoring and developing engineering leaders, and establishing best practices for scalability, security, and reliability.



The Director of Engineering is also expected to contribute to technical decision-making, optimize processes, and foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Robust Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills, with proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Hands-on background in Software Development, with expertise in modern architectures (e.g., cloud-native, microservices) and AI or data-driven systems.
- Demonstrated Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, stakeholder communication, and delivery of complex initiatives.
- Experience with Integration of systems, APIs, and platforms within enterprise or large-scale digital ecosystems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Track record of defining engineering standards, implementing DevOps/CI-CD practices, and ensuring security, performance, and reliability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in AI, digital transformation, or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly beneficial.
- Previous leadership experience in a similar role within technology, consulting, or product-focused organizations is a plus.
