Our team is engaged in designing, delivering and supporting Digital Tech Services for all CHC worldwide.
We deliver our solutions in a highly competitive market answering FMCH needs and sometimes supporting regulated environments (GxP, SoX and other regional or local regulations).
Our team operates in an international context, serving all markets in most of the countries around the world.
Digital Technology & Architecture organization encompasses following capabilities: Integration, Enterprise Architecture, Operations, Cloud engineering, Platform Engineering (e.g. DevOps & related framework), Enabling Platforms (ServiceNow, Observability, Chatbots, RPA, …), Digital Workplace and more “classical” infrastructures (hosting, network, servers, …).
Digital Workplace corresponds to following capabilities:
- Productivity & Collaboration suite (Microsoft 365, with Office suite, Teams, Email, …)
- Videoconferencing (Zoom, Teams) & space booking (Logitech)
- Devices & Mobility (Windows, Mac, Workstation as a Service, mobile phones & tablets, device imaging & software deployment, Intune, Industrial devices)
- Digital Signage & IP-TV
- Telephony (VoIP, Teams or fixed)
- Secure Printing & Scanning services
- Application store for applications deployed on or accessible from end users’ laptops requiring either a license or a local setup (e.g. Adobe, Microsoft Office suite, Visio/Project, ...)
As a target, all these capabilities will become full managed by Opella but most of them (less and less) are still operated by Sanofi for us.
As a lead of Device & Software Experience, you oversee the 360° of Device and end-user software part of the Digital Workplace scope: hardware catalog, evolutions, roadmap, demand management, user education, corrective & preventive maintenance, build & run budget, …)
whether they are owned directly by Opella or still managed by Sanofi.
Main objective is to shape our future state for Opella and take over the devices & manage our end-user software.
As a leader of a team, below are the key responsibilities for this role and domain.
Devices & Software inventory & lifecycle
- Secure a clear cartography of Opella end-user devices to be ready for the takeover. This includes Laptops, desktops, mobiles, tablets, virtual desktops, industrial devices and printing.
- Manage device lifecycle, catalog and relationship with vendors to ensure the best and most cost-effective service
- In partnership with People organization and other stakeholders, determine a clear device assignment policy and end-to-end provisioning process, including imaging and enrolment, taking into account cybersecurity aspects
- Setup a clear process for Opella to operate end-user software (approval, deployment, packaging, …) and maintain it over time through evolutions.
- Oversee products lifecycle and build strategies (roadmaps, evolutions, Opella target landscape), especially to move from remaining Sanofi-operated capabilities to Opella target
- Ensure close relationships with vendors (Microsoft, OEM, ...) to always get optimized costs, support & advices
- Accurately & fully document solutions architectures, process and support models, especially in application referential (ServiceNow CMDB)
- Ensure strong release management process including Change Management & Communications
Budget & TCO
- Define and control the required budget to manage Devices & Software (new releases, licenses, run costs, …) and ensure value maximization (e.g. fit-for-purpose licenses, streamline support partners, …)
- Measure real consumption of products in scope and optimize costs for Opella
User Experience, Adoption & Education
- Ensure best user experience and education, by providing communications, learnings & trainings to end users, especially related to change management process (new features, catalog change, etc...)
- Measure adoption and ensure maximum usage of products’ capabilities
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting or configuration management tools (e.g. delivery of VDI or computers, inventories, ...)
- Share knowledge with colleagues and support teams to foster a culture of continuous learning
Reliability & Operations
- Through problem solving approach and in partnership with Support teams, contribute to root cause analysis and conduct post incident reviews to identify areas for improvement
- In partnership with Support & Infrastructure teams, co-develop dashboards, alerts and metrics to proactively identify issues & anomalies
- Ensure full connection with Support teams to continuously improve the quality of service and propose fitted solutions
- Propose innovative solutions to reduce the burden of operations and maintenance for end-user hardware (i.e. self-healing, proactive monitoring, etc...) while maximising end-user experience.
Security & Compliance
- Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance and address vulnerabilities (e.g. integrate security features in product’s roadmap)
- Partnering with Digital Quality representatives, ensure alignment with regulations (GxP, SOX, …), provide necessary documentation & answers to audits as required
Projects
- Deliver evolutions & projects related to Digital Workplace scope, or oversee them if managed through Sanofi stakeholders
- Ensure full involvement in the transition from Sanofi to Opella with regards to Devices and End-user software takeover (Hardware RFP, Intune setup, software packaging, ...)
About you
Technical background required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, with various proven experiences in international context across global organizations
- Proven experience in managing a Device & Software domain, close to end-user
- Proficiency in Digital Workplace products & vendors eco-system, with deeper technical knowledge on devices, especially InTune and M365 in general.
- Expertise in end-user hardware management (brands, models, self-healing, monitoring, ...)
- Ability to use GenAI (Copilot or others) to solve complex problems and automate repetitive tasks
- Ability to be hands on and execute technical actions to solve issues or help the team to start up (scripting, technical design, configurations, ...)
Soft skills required
- Proven experience in managing global virtual teams and ability to work in an international matrix environment
- Ability to lead and take ownership even in unclear situations. Contribute to clear the unclear
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to talk to Business and adapt “tech” language to this audience
- Curious, open-minded, « out of the box » thinking
- Agile and continuous improvement mindset, with critical-thinking and root-cause-analysis paradigms
- Strategic thinking with ability to develop strategies for Digital Workplace products
- Fluent in English
