Role Description The Digital Khaka Artist will create detailed digital artworks and design layouts that translate craft concepts into production-ready patterns and graphics for textiles and related products. This contract, hybrid role is based in Ghaziabad, with some flexibility for work from home as project needs allow. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing digital khakas for various craft techniques, refining designs based on feedback from designers and artisan partners, and preparing files with explicit specifications for production teams.





The artist will collaborate closely with Loomlife’s design and craft innovation studio to ensure that each digital interpretation respects traditional craftsmanship while meeting modern aesthetic and quality standards. Additional tasks may include storyboarding design concepts, contributing to collection development, and maintaining organized digital asset libraries.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Digital Art and Digital Painting for creating detailed, production-ready khakas and visual concepts.
- Candidates should possess skills in Graphic Design and Graphics to develop clear, scalable layouts, motifs, and pattern systems suitable for textile and product applications.
- Candidates should possess Storyboarding skills to visualize design narratives, craft processes, and collection concepts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent digital art tools) and comfort working with digital files for print and production.
- Understanding of textile design, repeat patterns, and basic color theory; experience with Indian craft traditions or artisanal processes is a strong advantage.

- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, incorporate feedback, and work to deadlines in a structured yet evolving environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Fine Arts, Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with a strong portfolio of digital artwork and craft-focused projects.
