About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Glauben Power. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of Low Voltage (LT) electrical panels/switchgear, ensuring they meet customer specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. You will play a key role in driving product innovation and supporting the smooth execution of electrical panel manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Conceptualization and Design:

Develop detailed engineering drawings and schematics for Low Voltage Electrical Panels (e.g., MCCBs, contactors, relays, and other electrical components).

Perform load flow analysis, short circuit calculations, and thermal management to ensure the panel’s stability and safety.

Design efficient and optimized panel layouts that maximize space utilization, enhance ease of installation, and facilitate ongoing maintenance.

Create 3D models of panels using CAD software to visualize the design, perform interference checks, and refine product features.

- Technical Documentation:

Prepare and maintain technical specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and other necessary documentation.

Create and maintain detailed design records and drawings in accordance with internal and client specifications.

- Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and production staff to ensure seamless project execution.

Provide technical support to the manufacturing and installation teams,



troubleshooting any design-related issues during production.

- Quality Assurance:

Conduct regular design reviews to ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards, such as IEC, IEEE, and IS.

Investigate and resolve design-related issues, ensuring all components meet both safety and performance requirements.

- Continuous Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical panel design.

Identify opportunities to optimize designs for improved efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced performance.

Qualifications

Diploma, Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

3 -10 years of experience in designing Low Voltage panels, such as MCC, PCC, PLC Panels, and related systems.

Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including power systems, control systems, and electrical safety.

Proficiency in electrical design software such as EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar tools.

Experience with 3D modelling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is a plus.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

High attention to detail, precision, and accuracy in all aspects of the design process.
