Databricks Integration Engineer. Three-month contract with FT opportunity. Remote (India).

At Unloq, we partner with ambitious enterprises to build AI systems held to one standard: every recommendation has to be defensible to a board. Our platform, Unloq Decision Workspace, is a governed, vendor-agnostic decision layer that deploys inside any container and reads data with full auditability.

We are accepted into the Databricks Technology Partner Program and approved into the Connected Partner Program. Neither of those is validation. Validation is what this contract delivers.

We need one engineer to take our Databricks connector through the Partner Well Architected Review, then build the integration out behind it. The specification exists and the documents are submitted. This is exact, fast execution on work a Databricks Partner Engineer will inspect on a recorded call. You will work alongside our founding AI and data team.

? The Role

Phase one: win the validation.

- Take the connector to 12/12 on the Partner AI Dev-Kit PWAF compliance check (databricks-solutions/partner-ai-dev-kit). Hard gate. Nothing else starts until it passes.
- Prove out the four requirements end to end: OAuth, Unity Catalog, User-Agent telemetry, integration documentation.
- Make the live demo match the submitted documents exactly. Reviewers look for the gap between the paper and the product. There cannot be one.

Phase two: build it out.

- Harden the connector: Python SQL Connector and the databricks-sqlalchemy dialect, HTTPS, read-only, approved tables only.
- OAuth M2M with OIDC client credentials, a dedicated service principal per deployment, least privilege, short-lived tokens, no PATs.
- Unity Catalog schema metadata through information_schema on DBSQL and nothing else, held only inside the customer's own VPC.
- Telemetry discipline: Unloq-DecisionWorkspace/1.0, identical in the code, the documents and the demo.





You take direction on what to build. You nail the how, and you document it so a reviewer can follow it without asking. ? Who This Is For

- High GPA from a top-tier Indian university such as IIT, NIT or SRM
- Exceptional at SQL. Non-negotiable, and part of how we'll assess you
- Hands-on Databricks: DBSQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, the Lakehouse model. Not a certificate
- Practical OAuth and OIDC. You have debugged a token refresh in production, not just read the flow diagram
- Robust Python, and comfortable inside connector code
- You hit a specification exactly. In a recorded partner review, one mismatched string is a finding
- Scrappy and resourceful. Given a target and clear direction, you find the path
- Available now, with a meaningful UK hours overlap

Nice to have: prior ISV certification or partner review work with any major platform, cloud IAM (AWS preferred), Terraform, Docker or Kubernetes, PostgreSQL.

How we assess: a short paid exercise against demo data in our development Databricks workspace, then a live session on your reasoning.
