About The Role The Senior Data Engineer role at Kake is a pivotal position designed for experienced professionals who excel in transforming raw data into actionable insights. This remote position offers the opportunity to lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex data pipelines and analytical workflows. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data analysis, data science, or data engineering, with a passion for creating scalable data solutions that support business decision-making.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to understand data needs and translate them into efficient, reliable data models and pipelines. This role requires a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate independently within a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Qualifications To be successful in this role,



candidates should have at least 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or data engineering. A strong command of SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases are essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar is required, along with hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouses.

Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to interpret complex business questions and translate them into clear, data-driven recommendations. Excellent communication skills in English and the capacity to work independently in a remote setting are also critical.

Additional preferred qualifications include experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), big data technologies, machine learning frameworks, and data orchestration tools.

- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows to support analytics, reporting, and modeling needs.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Develop, validate, and maintain statistical or machine learning models to address specific business challenges.
- Ensure the quality, consistency, and integrity of data across various sources and pipelines.
- Design and optimize data models, schemas,



and warehouses to facilitate scalable and efficient analytics.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions and reports.
- Contribute to establishing data best practices and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
- Participate in requirement reviews, identify potential data risks early, and implement mitigation strategies.
