About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Cybersecurity Incident Response Lead to join our energetic security team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding our organizational assets by leading the investigation and response to major cybersecurity incidents. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in managing complex security breaches, analyzing threat intelligence, and coordinating cross-functional response efforts.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing cutting-edge security tools and methodologies to protect the organization from evolving cyber threats. Please note, this role requires night shift availability, aligning with our operational security needs to ensure 24/7 incident coverage.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with significant exposure to Security Operations Center (SOC) functions and incident response, is essential. Proven track record in leading investigations of major cybersecurity incidents and security breaches is required.

Candidates should possess a strong understanding of incident response methodologies, attacker tactics, and forensic investigation techniques.





Experience working within enterprise or global security infrastructures and coordinating technical and non-technical stakeholders during high-pressure situations is critical. Familiarity with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, Elastic, or LogRhythm, as well as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools like Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Carbon Black, is necessary. Proficiency in scripting languages (KQL, SPL, Python, PowerShell, Bash) and API integrations is also important.

Preferred certifications include GIAC certifications (GCIH, GCFA, GCED), CISSP, CSA, and Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate. SANS Incident Response training or equivalent is highly desirable.

Responsibilities The key responsibilities for this role include leading the investigation and response to major cybersecurity incidents such as ransomware, phishing, insider threats, malware, credential compromise, and data breaches. The candidate will perform incident triage, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident activities, ensuring swift and effective mitigation. Conducting root cause and impact analysis to identify attack vectors, affected systems, and business impact forms a core part of the role.

Analyzing security alerts, logs, network traffic, endpoint telemetry, cloud activity, and threat intelligence to determine the scope of incidents is essential. The role involves utilizing security tools such as SIEM, EDR, NDR, cloud security, email security, and identity security platforms to investigate and respond to security events. Correlating data from multiple sources to identify malicious activity, reconstruct attack timelines, and discern threat actor behaviors is crucial.

The candidate will also engage in threat hunting activities, identifying indicators of compromise (IOCs), attacker tactics, techniques,



and procedures (TTPs). Serving as the technical lead during major incidents, the role requires coordinating response efforts across cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, application, legal, privacy, compliance, and business teams. Effective communication, including incident updates, executive briefings, and regulatory reporting, is vital.

Developing and maintaining incident response playbooks, runbooks, and SOPs to streamline response processes is part of the responsibilities. The candidate will design and implement automation workflows and SOAR integrations to enhance investigation efficiency and response consistency. Continuous improvement through lessons learned, threat intelligence, and incident trend analysis to refine detection rules, use cases, and response procedures is expected.
