About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team as an independent contractor. This role is remote and offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to high-impact AI evaluation projects. The primary focus of this position is to apply enterprise-level cybersecurity expertise to design and simulate real-world security scenarios, develop reference solutions, and evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields such as security engineering, operations, incident response, risk management, or security leadership. Demonstrated expertise in managing security operations, incident response programs,



security architecture, or compliance initiatives is essential. Strong knowledge of industry-standard cybersecurity frameworks including NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIS2 is required.

Familiarity with security tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Qualys, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms is highly preferred. Candidates should have excellent analytical skills, risk assessment capabilities, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are strongly valued, indicating a high level of professional competence in cybersecurity disciplines.

Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, your core responsibilities will include developing realistic enterprise cybersecurity scenarios rooted in real-world security operations, threat detection, and risk management workflows. You will create detailed reference incident reports, security assessments, architecture designs, and compliance documentation to serve as benchmarks for evaluating AI outputs. A key aspect of this role involves assessing the accuracy, reasoning, and compliance of AI-generated cybersecurity outputs, ensuring they meet professional standards.





You will design grading rubrics that effectively measure cybersecurity judgment and decision-making at an expert level. Applying various cybersecurity methodologies—including threat modeling, incident response planning, vulnerability management, and risk assessment—will be central to your work. Collaboration with project teams to maintain consistency, quality, and technical rigor across all deliverables is essential to achieve project goals and uphold high standards of excellence.
