Role Description The Credit Manager will be responsible for assessing and approving credit proposals for retail, housing, and SME customers in line with Tata Capital’s credit policies. Key day-to-day activities include analyzing financial statements, reviewing customer profiles, evaluating risk, and determining appropriate credit limits and terms. The role involves monitoring portfolio performance, identifying early warning signals, and recommending corrective actions to maintain asset quality.
The Credit
Manager will collaborate with sales, operations, and risk teams to ensure smooth credit processing,
compliance with regulatory standards, and adherence to internal guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hardoi, requiring regular interaction with local branches and customers.
Qualifications
- Strong credit assessment and risk analysis abilities, including reviewing financial documents, cash flows, and collateral valuations.
- Knowledge of retail, housing, and SME lending products, credit policies, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Proficiency in using financial and MIS tools for credit evaluation, portfolio monitoring, and reporting.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for coordinating with internal teams and engaging with customers.
- Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to make timely, data-driven credit decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in finance or risk management is an advantage.
- Prior experience in credit underwriting or credit risk management in a bank or NBFC is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Hardoi, manage multiple cases concurrently, and meet turnaround time targets.
