Role Description The Cost Accountant will manage and analyze cost data for manufacturing/FMCG operations, ensuring accurate cost allocation and supporting pricing and profitability decisions. This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad involves preparing and reviewing cost reports, monitoring production and inventory costs, and reconciling standard vs. actual costs. The role includes maintaining cost records, posting relevant journal entries, supporting monthly and annual closing related to cost accounts, and assisting in budgeting and variance analysis.

The Cost

Accountant will collaborate closely with finance, production, and procurement teams to provide cost insights,



improve cost control, and support management reporting. The individual will also contribute to process improvements, compliance with internal controls, and timely submission of cost-related information.

Qualifications

- Robust Cost Accounting skills with experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
- Solid understanding of Financial Statements and Finance principles to support cost analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and related ledger processes for accurate cost recording.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret cost data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA) are an advantage.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and strong Excel skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and familiarity with relevant accounting standards.
